Fashion Designers reveal their talents
Alan Zhou, 2009 IFA Paris graduate wins third place in reality TV show "My Style"
- (1888PressRelease) July 14, 2010 - After more than two months of fierce battles, Alan Zhou former IFA Paris graduate took third place in the popular reality TV show, My Style.
My Style is the Chinese counterpart to US TV hit 'Project Runway' and is co-produced by Young Media and OK! magazines and aims to encourage young fashion designers.
Beating over hundreds of young fashion designers to get a place in the show, Alan had to overcome more obstacles than the other participants. Having first been eliminated from the competition during an eliminatory round, he was able to come back in the race during a second chance round thanks to his determination. Later, he was asked to design an outfit for Fan Bingbing (Chinese actress) which he did so using denim. By using a professional technique for washing and dying the cloth Alan produced a result which won the admiration of the audience and the jury.
For Alan, a good outfit must be comfortable for the person who wears it. Guided by this idea, he passed the ordeals one after the other to finally get to the finale. He won third place.
Who will be talented enough? Who will inspire the Chinese stylists in China? The trend is globalization and there are more and more Chinese designers looking to pursue the international markets.
Under the influence of the world renowned designers, the new generation of Chinese designers are looking for a way to promote and develop the Chinese industry.
With his own style and thanks to his charm, Alan has shown that there are talented designers in China.
IFA Paris Graduates will give the required impetus to Chinese fashion so that one day the term "Made in China" would be replaced by "created in China"!
