Family Fun Weekend Launches Derbyshire Car Dealership's Green Initiative
Details a family fun weekend launching a carbon offsetting initiative and scheme to send parcels to UK troops abroad.
- (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2010 - Independent car dealership, Mark Campbell Motors, is set to host a weekend of complimentary family entertainment as it launches its carbon offsetting initiative and a scheme to send gift parcels to UK troops abroad.
The two day event, spanning August 21st and 22nd, will welcome members of the public to enjoy a free of charge barbecue, refreshments and entertainment. Visitors will have the opportunity to win a sat-nav, receive free vehicle diagnostics checks and to obtain a £10 Tesco voucher for taking any vehicle for a test drive. If the visitor likes the car and agrees a deal, they can then play "Have a pop at our prices". On popping a balloon, an amount is revealed within which they receive either in cash or as a discount from the value of the car.
An array of attractions to entertain children will also be offered, including a bouncy castle and a chance to meet local environmental character, EcoMan, the fun, friendly mascot of the organisation enabling Mark Campbell Motors to become a carbon neutral company and helping to carbon offset the mileage of cars sold by the family-run dealership.
The dealership has a strong history of social responsibility and contributing to the community. In addition to its new carbon offsetting, recent scout fundraising day and a very successful scheme to send gift parcels to troops in Afghanistan, the company is re-launching the latter in the run-up to Christmas. The company invites visitors to bring along boxes of home comforts with an accompanying letter which it will then send to UK troops abroad. Company founder, Mark Campbell, explains: "Regardless of your political beliefs, we strongly feel that our often neglected troops abroad deserve some support. So please, come and enjoy a fun packed weekend, helping us to celebrate our carbon offsetting and bring along a parcel for our boys abroad".
