Families Can Fall into Healing at KAMIT FEST NYC 2012
Ausar Auset Society, an international spiritual organization, is hosting a two-day event in celebration of Kamitic (Ancient Egyptian) and Eastern wisdom cultures. The event, scheduled for Saturday, November 17, 2012 through Sunday, November 18, 2012, features free health and empowerment workshops, two live concerts, and Bazi (Taoist Chinese Astrology) and Feng Shui workshops.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2012 - Ausar Auset Society International, located at 626 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, presents KAMIT FEST NYC 2012, their thirteenth annual autumn celebration of Kamitic (Ancient Egyptian) and Eastern spirituality and health sciences. The family-centric event - occurring Saturday, November 17th through Sunday, November 18th - includes two live concerts, and a series of workshops focusing on: health and diet maintenance, Kamitic meditation; Qi Gong; Bazi (Taoist Chinese Astrology); and Feng Shui.
"KAMIT FEST NYC 2012 is the expression of the joy that Kamitic spirituality has brought to the lives of thousands of people around the world," said Ra Un Nefer Amen, founder of Ausar Auset Society International. "It is our honor to share the effective life healing and empowering techniques from Kamit, and other wisdom cultures."
The two-day event kicks off Saturday afternoon, at 1:00 p.m., with a live children's concert featuring the Kamit Preparatory Institute (KPI) Dance Group, followed by two workshops on how to naturally manage blood pressure and non-insulin dependent diabetes. Next, is a two-part workshop which overviews Kamitic Hekau (mantras, or words of power), followed by three types of Hekau-based meditations. Also offered, are the world-renowned Het Heru women's healing dance, led by Queen Mother Maasht Am Amen, and a separate healing workshop for men. Doors open for Saturday's children's concert and all of the workshops at 12 noon.
"The hands-on methods and information presented at the workshops can assist with the healing of many common illnesses, for achieving success, as well as numerous other applications," said Mr. Amen.
On Saturday evening, visitors will be treated to a second live concert headlined by The Kai Hetep Ensemble, a R&B/Soul and Inspirational group featuring Ankh Ra Amen Hetep - the vocal coach and talent judge for MTV's Making the Band 4 (which starred Hip-Hop superstar P. Diddy). Also headlining are Reggae Queen Nakeeba Amaniyea; Meriama Afriik, featuring Catherine Foster of Broadway's Fela!; soul singer Sepsenahki, who recently toured with Lauren Hill; and the Bennu Ausar Drummers, featuring Senfu. Doors open for the evening concert at 6:00 p.m.
The Bazi Success Workshop will feature Mr. Amen, founder, and renowned author of the Metu Neter books and oracle system. Also offered is a beginner's workshop on Feng Shui. Registration for the two workshops begins at 1:00 p.m.; the Bazi Success Workshop starts at 2:00 p.m.
