Factana Partners with Kazuhm to Integrate Distributed Compute into Fogwing Platform
Partnership enables ultra-low latency Internet of Things (IoT) computing for small to medium sized enterprises.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) June 08, 2021 - Factana, the maker of the Fogwing Industrial IoT platform for small to medium-sized enterprises, and Kazuhm, the distributed computing technology leader, announced today that they have partnered to enable ultra-low latency distributed computing as a part of the Fogwing Industrial IoT solution. The strategic partnership agreement will allow Factana customers to take advantage of Kazuhm’s distributed compute technology to run IoT workloads on-premises on their own devices in order to process IoT data faster and at a lower cost.
Factana’s Fogwing is an Industrial IoT (IIoT) platform with its immaculate features helps build industrial automation solutions to address Industry 4.0 business cases such as industrial equipment monitoring, asset performance metrics, energy usage management, and predictive maintenance. Customers may build and deploy custom IoT-based automation solutions without deep information technology expertise. The extended product Fogwing IoT Analytics studio provides data-driven analytical processes in real-time to predict operational risks, performance, and actions at the lowest total cost of ownership.
“We are proud to have been chosen by Factana as a partner for their Fogwing IIoT platform,” said Andreas Roell, CEO of Kazuhm. “Together Fogwing and Kazuhm offer small to medium-sized enterprises the kind of advanced IIoT platform that up until now, has only been available to large companies that can devote enormous monetary, technology, and human resources to build out their IoT programs.”
“Edge computing is the most critical capabilities required in Industrial IoT Implementation. However, it is complex to manage the distribution of solution across edges deployed on-premises. Partnering with Kazuhm, we solve this problem for our customers seamlessly. We are excited to have this partnership with Kazuhm “said by Hariharan Ganesh, Founder and Chief of Factana.
Kazuhm runs secondary workloads on enterprise IT and IoT assets that never interfere with the asset’s primary function. This enables secure, low-cost, low-latency compute across a variety of enterprise applications including data analytics critical to IIoT. When integrated with the Fogwing platform, the combination allows customers to leverage any customer IT and IoT assets providing a fast, secure, and flexible IIoT compute offering. The solution is targeted at enterprise customers seeking alternatives to rigid on-premises private cloud solutions that require dedicated hardware assets or commercial cloud offerings that are more costly and have higher latencies.
