The nonprofit, Face Forward International has announced their new partnership with Resurgens Global to extend their services to reach 1,600 orphaned, refugee children of Syria in Jordan.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2019 - Face Forward International has partnered with Resurgens Global to extend their services to reach 1,600 orphaned, refugee children of Syria in Jordan. Together, their goal is to educate, empower and uplift children displaced by conflict. Since the Syrian civil war began in 2011, an estimated 500,000 people have been killed, including more than 55,000 children. Face Forward and Resurgens Global hope this new partnership will lead to a long-term relationship aiding refugee and orphaned children from numerous countries around the globe.
The humanitarian impact stemming from the war in Syria continues to plague efforts of stabilization on a conflict lasting since the Arab Spring in 2011. The mass migration of Syrian refugees across the border into Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and Turkey, show the magnitude of the human impact. While the US discusses a draw down plan in Syria, what does that mean for the humanitarian efforts and what’s being done to mitigate the vacuum left in the lives of many children who have been ravaged by war, human trafficking, and brutality? Many of these children have severe medical needs stemming from life threatening illnesses, facial disfigurement, to amputations requiring prosthetics and rehabilitation. These children, left to the rhythms of conflict, abuse, and terrorism, will become a lost generation and susceptible to extremist influence if not cared for and provided the rehabilitation and the essential support needed to survive.
Face Forward International will be not only be providing several of these innocent victims of war with much needed surgical care, but they will continue to aid in their ongoing educational support when they return home. While in Jordan, the two nonprofits will be touring orphanages, schools and hospitals, meeting with children who are surgical candidates with injuries from these cruel acts of crime. Face Forward plans to provide surgical care for 3-5 of these children in 2019, and in addition will extend support for their continued education when they return home from surgery. They are also sourcing educational and medical supplies for 1,600 refugee children who are attending a camp organized by a local orphanage/school in Jordan. Face Forward is also planning to meet with other Nonprofit Organizations in the region in hopes of establishing relationships for additional potential new partnerships.
When Face Forward’s team met with the founder of Resurgens Global, Michael Gates, he shared endless stories of how these children lived and need help and support. This inspired Face Forward International CEO/Founder Deborah Alessi even more to want to make an impact on the lives of these children.
“This will be a very important trip for our Face Forward team not only for our continued international growth as a charity, but it will be personally very impactful as well.”, said Mrs. Alessi, “We are travelling to a high threat level country and there are many risks involved, but we know that the number of children our efforts can reach will make such a big impact. We are truly changing lives, and are so grateful to the Resurgens Global team for helping make sure we are able to do so safely.”
Syrian children, the nation’s hope for a better future, have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, missed years of schooling and experienced unspeakable violence and brutality. These organizations need the public’s financial support to help make a difference in the lives of so many of these innocent victims, displaced children of war, who have suffered extreme atrocities, many for their entire lives thus far.

About Resurgens Global
RG recognizes the burden NGO’s and humanitarians dutifully accept to go in to harm’s way to administer aid and support to those surviving in high risk environments. Humanitarians remain an essential part of our global fabric, ensuring aid and relief meet those affected by tragedy. They are often on the front lines in countering violent extremism by working in environments that lend the group to becoming ambassadors, serving populations that may have a misrepresentation of the west or mission NGO’s. The environments they operate in are becoming increasingly complex due to geopolitical unrest and the constant threats faced to disrupt their efforts. Resurgens Global is founded on the understanding that more can and should be done to mitigate risks encountered by those willing to enter high threat environments and speed the recovery efforts to more effectively get aid and relief to those in need. In addition to training, intelligence services and advisory operations, RG is chartered to provide proprietary protection methods designed to have a low visibility impact on the mission, ensuring the aid reaches the intended group without the potentially adverse effects of a security presence.
