Beverly Hills, CA - Face Forward International announces that Grammy winning artist CeeLo Green will perform at the September 14th Gala at the prestigious Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Face Forward is the premier charitable organization offering reconstructive surgeries for survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and other acts of crime, which also includes veterans and children of war in their international outreach efforts. The goal of the annual event is to unite communities from Hollywood, to Corporate partners, to the elite of Beverly Hills, together raising funds and awareness for the work they do to help survivors receive the surgical and emotional support care they need. Face Forward International has recently developed several new partnerships with other nonprofits throughout the US, UK, Jordan, and now Cambodia - serving survivors of violent, disfiguring crimes.
Global Entertainer and former gala honoree La Toya Jackson will host the event with Max Loong and Tom Zenner as co-emcees. Last years’ Beacon of Hope winner Caitlyn Jenner will pass her award forward, presenting to this years’ recipient and former President of 20th Century Fox, Scott Neeson, Founder of the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF). When Scott originally visited Phnom Penh, he was so moved by the conditions he saw the children living in that he returned home to Los Angeles, resigned from his job, sold all of his possessions and started the Cambodian Children’s Fund. Face Forward International welcomed their first surgical patients from CCF this month, a mother and daughter, both acid attack survivors to the US for treatment.
The annual Face Forward International Gala is a true celebration of survivors, and this year will host patients from five different countries at the Gala whilst here for their surgical treatments, along with two local Los Angeles based survivors. These cases include Acid Attack survivors from four different countries including Kenya, India, Cambodia and the UK. As well as a Los Angeles based domestic violence and West Hollywood hate crime survivors.
Exciting performers to help liven up the evening before Grammy- Winning headliner CeeLo Green takes the stage including breakout artist Major from Lee Daniels’ hit show “Star”. Sony artist and internet sensation Sonna Reele (https://youtu.be/EMjrbd9lsbI) and new artists Auburn Road (https://vimeo.com/354332099/d523c94620) will help rock the cocktail party.
This phenomenal annual event attracts and honors some of the entertainment industry’s biggest stars and raises money to provide physical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, human trafficking, and cruel acts of crime. With a planned 600 guests in attendance, including celebrities, Fortune 500 Businesses and the elite of Beverly Hills and Hollywood, the goal is to raise $500,000+ during the night to help support even more patients from around the globe.
