EYP/BJAC Selected To Provide Design Services For UNC Family Medicine Center Feasibility Study
Firm Chosen To Develop Design Concept For Family Clinic At UNC Hospitals.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2013 - EYP/BJAC (http://www.bjac.com), an expertise-based, integrated architecture firm specializing in academic, medical, research and government clients, has announced that it was selected to provide design services for the University of North Carolina Family Medicine Center (UNC FMC) feasibility study. The firm will conduct a feasibility study on an existing full-scope facility seeking to develop a more accessible model for patient care, improve the way patient care is delivered, and streamline both operational and financial processes. The existing medical facility was built in 1990.
The UNC FMC is part of the UNC School of Medicine. The facility is ranked second out of all family medicine departments in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and sees heavy use within the community. EYP/BJAC Senior Project Director, Jennifer Amster, AIA, LEED AP BD+C; Healthcare Principal Fred Wolters, AIA; and Director of Healthcare, Alex Kristiansen, will use their expertise and knowledge of trends in patient and family health care, primary and urgent care, and comprehensive family medicine to create an improvement-driven design objective.
