EYP/BJAC Names Tan Zheng, AIA, EDAC, Architect
Local Architectural Firm Promotes Employee With Extensive Health Care Experience.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) August 27, 2013 - EYP/BJAC, an expertise-based, integrated architecture firm specializing in academic, medical, research and government clients, has announced that Tan Zheng, AIA, EDAC, has been named a new architect and is working toward the title of medical planner within the company. Zheng has been with the firm since 2009, working closely with project managers and senior medical planners on a variety of health care projects including clinics, physician office buildings, hospitals, academic medicine facilities and health care interior renovations. He is highly experienced in predesign and all phases of health care projects, including feasibility studies, space programming, operational departmental programming/planning and detail planning for clients' specific health care project requirements.
Zheng has received Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification and has utilized an abundance of research studies to support his design decisions. His past work has been consistently recognized for its outstanding quality, receiving both a Design for Aging Scholarship and a Herman Miller Traveling Fellowship from Texas A&M University. In addition, Zheng received the Best Architectural Design award in the National Exhibition of Architectural Design Works of College Students.
Zheng received his bachelor of architecture from China University of Mining and Technology and his master of architecture, health systems and design, from Texas A&M University. A native of China, Zheng resides in Raleigh with his wife.
