EyeSpot Announces Grand Opening Celebration
EyeSpot Festivities to Feature Olympic Gold Medalist Gigi Fernandez and Future of Vision Technology.
- (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2011 - EyeSpot optical store will host a grand opening celebration February 11-13 to debut the opening of its flagship retail store in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The store carries a wide selection of the finest eyewear brands and state-of-the-art optical diagnostic technology. All are invited to join.
This inaugural event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with remarks from the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce Board Member, Greg Reibman of Gatehouse Media New England, and publisher of local community newspapers including the Newton TAB and Needham Times. EyeSpot will present a donation to George Chryssis, President of the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology and its Opticianry program dedicated to educating students in optical technology, as well as to the Roberta and Stephen Weiner Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), which advances research in vision science and supports the medical humanities. Following opening remarks, the ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off the official grand opening calendar of activities introducing customers to the cutting-edge technology, and outstanding customer service that seeks to transform the eyewear and eyecare experience.
The event will feature a special appearance and talk by two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Founder of Baby Goes Pro, Gigi Fernandez at 3 pm. Showcased on the stunning backlit display, customers will have an opportunity to experience the remarkable videos of Baby Goes Pro that's inspiring a generation to move.
Since technology is an integral part of the EyeSpot experience, the store will host speakers on Apple Technology on Saturday afternoon as part of its EyeSpot on Technology. Sunday afternoon will offer a spotlight on EyeSpot's Vision Technology.
As part of the Grand Opening celebration, shoppers will receive free EyeSpot Complete Eye Scans providing comprehensive eye screening (based on availability) on Saturday and Sunday. "We are committed to helping people maintain healthy eyes," said Michael Arroyo, EyeSpot Registered Dispensing Optician. "It is our pleasure to offer free eye scans to demonstrate our pioneering technology and educate consumers on the importance of eye exams and eyecare."
To celebrate the grand opening, customers will be entered into a drawing to win a $200 EyeSpot gift certificate. Refreshments will be provided throughout the weekend by Angora ICE, Aquitaine Chestnut Hill, Comella's, Finagle a Bagel, La Rotisserie, Rosie's Bakery, and Urban Grape.
