Extreme Sport iPhone App Gets Extremely Creative With Screenshots
Young iPhone application developers from New Zealand get creative with App Store advertising.

The Xzone is a news aggregate that pulls together extreme sports news from over 500 handpicked sources including specialised news, video and picture websites, and pro athlete blogs and Tweets, on ten extreme sports.
The screenshots, which include an iPhone riding a surfboard, a motor cross bike and a snowboard, are designed to stand out from the crowd, a crowd which Scott Townsend from Touchit Creative, the company behind the Xzone, says is full of generic shots.
"The app is all about extreme sports. Showing the iPhone as the athlete of an extreme sport gives viewers an expectation of the extreme content of Xzone."

Scott says the mashup of content, which comes from athlete blogs, Twitter and extreme sport sites, gives the user more than just information and updates, by providing insight into the extreme sports culture.
The ten extreme sports covered by Xzone are skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, BMX, moto-x, kite-surfing, mountain biking, skiing, wakeboarding and windsurfing. Touchit Creative plan to include coverage on more extreme sports in future updates, as well as added functionality.
The Xzone is available from the Apple App Store now for just 0.99c USD.
