Expert Witness Profiler proclaims July 2nd (7/02) to be celebrated as the International Expert Witness Day
The International Expert Witness Day will now be celebrated every year on July 02nd.
- (1888PressRelease) June 22, 2022 - Expert Witness Profiler, LLC (EWP), has proclaimed July 2nd to be marked and celebrated as the International Expert Witness Day.
Making the announcement, Ashish Arun, Esq. (Principal and CEO) noted, “Expert Witnesses form the backbone of litigation by bringing in the expertise and objectivity required to help the jury make an informed decision about the technical aspects of a case. Without experts, the jury’s ability to decide fairly and effectively, would diminish in multiple ways. And while lawyers have an “International Lawyers Day” on the 3rd of February every year, experts have not gotten their fair share of recognition as an important cog in the judicial system. Since expert witness testimony is governed by Rule 702 of the Federal Rules of Evidence, we have decided to proclaim July 02nd as the International Expert Witness Day to celebrate the contributions made by expert witnesses to cases ranging from personal injury and medical malpractice to complex antitrust and patent litigation.”
On the occasion of the first “International Expert Witness Day”, EWP is also going to launch a website (www.expertwitnessday.com) dedicated to commemorating and celebrating this day every year.
Myles Levin, an industry veteran and the founder of Expert Witness Profiler as well as the Daubert Tracker noted how the expert witness industry has come a long way since he started the Daubert Tracker about twenty years ago but the service industry still needs to be more organized and cohesive. An occasion to mark and celebrate expert witnesses will also help bring multiple players together on a single platform and will help the industry grow further.
For the inaugural “Expert Witness Day”, Levin also mentioned that EWP is working on setting up a jury to come up with a list of eleven exceptional contributors to the law and practice of expert witness testimony and honor them on the first EWP Eleven this year. The list will be revealed on the first “Expert Witness Day” this 7/02.
