I have maintained that till April 2011, the inflation numbers will remain low or even if we see a rise, the pace of rise will not be too high. I do not expect the RBI to raise the rates, even if they do, it will be only be symbolic to show they are concerned with inflation. I do not expect the RBI to touch the CRR / SLR as the liquidity situation in the system is already on the tighter side. Currently the situation is such that monetary measures will not help contain inflation, more structural changes in the pattern of lending, use of foreign funds are required to contain it.”-Mr. Siddharth Shankar.
