The new module for Mendix on Slack provides a variety of features such as creating new channels, sending, and scheduling messages, deleting chat messages, adding and removing users, renaming existing channels, setting new topics for channels, and viewing the profile information of the user who created the Slack account. To access these features, users are required to download the module from the Mendix marketplace and install the Community Commons module.
The module has specific roles such as Administrator and User to ensure security, which can be assigned from the Project Module. Following installation, the configuration page requires users to add a User OAuth token, which can be obtained by creating a Slack account.
