- Naples-Marco Island, FL (1888PressRelease) June 08, 2012 - Collier County will host two "Love That Dress!" events this August, both benefitting Collier PACE Center for Girls, Inc. "Backstage Pass - LTD! LIVE" will be held on August 16 at the Waterside Shops, and will feature a fashion show that highlights the Couture dresses and handbags of the main "Love That Dress!" event, which will be held August 29 at the Waldorf Astoria in Naples. Nannette Staropoli, CEO of MARKIT Group, is Chair of this year's event along with Yvonne Bourk of BB&T Bank as Co-Chair. Shelia Davis Smith is serving as honorary chair.
PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit intervention and prevention program for at-risk girls in Collier County. Since opening in 1998, the center has offered its resources to nearly 1,000 girls. "Love That Dress!" proceeds will go towards supporting the work that the program is doing in Collier County.
Event Chair Nannette Staropoli was thrilled to see the outpouring of community support and enthusiasm for the two evenings, and especially for their interest in supporting PACE, saying, "there is a lot of excitement about this year's 'Love That Dress!', and we are honored to have so many people donating their time, resources and talent for PACE," she said. "It's going to be two spectacular events."
On the night of the main event, about 500 fashionistas will shop thousands of donated new and gently used dresses and accessories. A silent auction and cocktails are available to all attendants, and major sponsors will have access to VIP offerings, including private dressing rooms, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres and decadent desserts. Cash and in-kind sponsorships are available for $500 to $10,000, and sponsors receive a variety of benefits in recognition of their generosity.
Dress and handbag donations are being accepted through August 1. On the wide range of ways to get involved in the process, Event Co-Chair Yvonne Bourk said, "Anyone can host a collection party to spread the word about the event and receive donations for PACE. We also need donations of specialty goods and services for the silent auction, and, naturally, we need volunteers."
Donors are welcome to either attend a dress collection party or stop by one of the designated drop off locations: Pristine Fine Dry Cleaners, Waterside Shops (in the management office) and The Laser Lounge Spa.
Tickets for "Love That Dress!" will be on sale beginning August 1. General admission tickets are $25 per person, VIP tickets are $150 per person, and Backstage Pass tickets are $75 per person.
