EuroSchool Airoli Inaugurates State of the Art Basketball Court
Hosts basketball exhibition match for players of Western Railways.
- (1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - EuroSchool Airoli, a venture of EuroKids International, the Pre-School specialist and largest education service provider, today inaugurated their state of the art basketball court at the hands of Mr Abdul Ahmed Khan, coach of Indian Women's Basketball team. Also present at the inaugural function were the officials of EuroKids International, the Principal, teachers and students along with their parents. As part of the inaugural function, EuroSchool also hosted a basketball exhibition match for the players of Western railways.
The EuroSchool basketball court is a state of the art, international size court with an All-Weather Acrylic Synthetic Surface which can sustain all types of weather. The court also has the non-glare, non-fading colours and is unaffected by extremes in weather or by ultraviolet rays from the sun. The non-abrasive, non-slip surface is easier on the feet and legs. It needs no maintenance and is environmentally friendly. It is asbestos free, mercury free and lead free. The only maintenance required is a periodic cleaning of the court with plain water as and when the court gets dusty. The court also has flood lighting so that the players can even play in the evening.
Speaking on the Occasion, Chief Guest, Mr Ahmed Abdul Khan said, "Sports will always be the greatest insurance that can be gifted to a child. The integration of sports and academics at EuroSchool will definitely help in the overall development of the students making them physically, mentally and socially strong and useful citizens of the nation."

EuroSchool offers a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities for the physical development of a child. The curriculum provides for the academic development of the child counterbalanced with an enriching annual sports program. EuroSchool also believes that basic co-curricular activities also develop into life saving skills. Some of the outdoor sports activities at our school are athletics, cricket, football, basketball, tennis while the indoor games include swimming, floorball, table tennis and carom to name a few.
The students are exposed to varied sports that facilitate the development of kinesthetic and spatial skills. Students that show an inherent capability in a particular sport are provided with specialized training in that area thereby enabling them to excel & represent the school at the district, state and national level competitions. All students at EuroSchool are encouraged to specialize in at least one individual and one team game.
