    With trade exhibition Materials Handling Middle East fast approaching, the high growth economies of the region are firmly in the spotlight for the entire gamut of the international materials handling and logistics industries. Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organiser of the region's only dedicated trade platform for the materials handling, logistics, supply chain and transport industries, has partnered with Europe's largest logistics body - the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM), Frankfurt for one of its conferences. HOLM will lend their experience with organising international conferences bringing their expertise and in depth industry knowledge to the event.

    The conferences will run alongside Materials Handling Middle East 2011, which takes place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 25th to 27th. Day One will feature a CIPS Master Class dedicated to promoting good practice in the industry and supported by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. Improvements in buying skills, reducing an organisation's exposure to risk and managing sustainability issues will be amongst the topics covered during the master class.

    'Setting the Future in Motion' Conference, co-organised with HOLM, is the theme for the conference on Day Two, Monday, 26th September. It is expected to be an intensive discussion on the world of logistics, specifically within the Middle East region. Delegates will learn about the future developments expected in the industry and will participate in panel discussions on the current rules and regulations that affect the industry, as well as the prospects of growth in the region. Also on the programme are presentations and workshops on warehouse management systems and warehouse design.
