Eureka! Family Programming at Abington Art Center
Sunday afternoons are the perfect time to spend time with family enjoying and making art together at Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, PA.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2012 - Abington Art Center continues its family programming this fall with the new schedule of Eureka!. These weekend programs are designed to allow families of any size, shape and artistic ability to discover the galleries at Abington Art Center and to make art together.
Eureka! has been extremely popular within the community as it allows families to create together in a relaxed environment. Artists of all ages are invited to use their imaginations while spending quality time together. There is no prior artistic knowledge or skill needed. It is also a great opportunity to wander through the galleries with children to introduce them to fine arts. Families can become engaged with art on many levels, both by observing and creating themselves. In addition to the exhibitions in the galleries, the sculpture park is a wonderful way to get outdoors and explore!
Programs run on Sundays from 1-3pn and have a different theme each month.
October: Masks
November: Tile Making
December: Ornaments
The cost for each workshop is $5 per project, with members enjoying the projects for free.
