ETO Doors Announces Energy Star Certification
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has recognized ETO Door's environmentally friendly practices with an Energy Star Certification.
- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2011 - While ETO Doors has been committed to environmentally conscious products and practices since its inception, it has finally been approved with an Energy Star Certification. The Energy Star Certification was designed by the EPA to recognize products that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by maximizing efficiency, and to give products an easily identifiable badge so that consumers can make environmentally wise purchases.
ETO Doors' previous recognitions for environmental stewardship include a certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC is an independent nonprofit, which works to promote the protection of our world's forests. FSC certifies businesses in more than 50 countries around the world, and ETO is only one of a few door companies in the United States to earn this certification.
In addition to the FSC certification, ETO Doors' Los Angeles facility hosts numerous solar panels on its rooftop. Thanks to these solar panels, ETO now independently produces all of its electrical needs. ETO's green efforts have generated the energy equivalent to saving nearly 1,500 acres of trees, creating a significant reduction in air pollution and its resulting environmental damage.
