Ethereal Avant-Garde Album "STARLIGHT" By Xeno Giraffe & 21st World Future Music First Time Digital Release
After the release of Xeno Giraffe's "Fractal Pterodactyls" along with the "HOPE AND CHANGE" song release in the United States earlier this month, the high concept futuristic avant-garde album "STARLIGHT" has been digitally released by Xeno Giraffe & 21st World Future Music today.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) September 30, 2012 - There had been an anticipation of the announcement, once part of the 2012 Summer Of Xeno Giraffe release party began that the ethereal avant-garde album "STARLIGHT" by Xeno Giraffe & 21st World Future Music would be next on the list for first time digital distribution. That turns out to be true, but it wasn't easy.
"The original disks of all the music tracks were misplaced," said Xeno Giraffe. "I live a musically cluttered existence, and for awhile they seemed to have vanished. I run from one project to the next, and things sometimes get mixed up."
As it turns out, after re-recording the entire album again from paper notes - and old sheet music, a 16 track studio digital production master was stumbled over in another project bin, and the best of both were used for the final mix-down of "STARLIGHT" that has now been remixed and remastered for digital release on CDBaby.com with a roll-out to iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody, and other online digital music distributors.
"I had released the original version of the "STARLIGHT" album in 2004 on CD - this new version has all the advantages of the advancement in musical technology that has me falling in love with it - all over again," said Xeno Giraffe.
"STARLIGHT" is an album that is hard to pigeon hole, as it could be included in rock, electronic, jazz, and experimental, but the best fit seems avant garde - in that it was part of a new wave of music - parts of which - were created by fractal math and music software with a lot of human coaxing, using new and developing digital techniques.
"Parts of 'STARLIGHT' had their genesis in the early 1980's," said Xeno Giraffe. "I was applying math ideas that I was picking up while working at the MIT AI lab, and applying them in the experimental music department at The School Of The Museum Of Fine Arts in downtown Boston. I put the project down, one of many, when I moved into visual neon art. When neon slowed during the downturn, I re-invested my energies in my greatest passion - music."
This marks the 3rd album release by Xeno Giraffe this year and follows "Comfort Ride REMASTERED", and Xeno Giraffe's epic 3 CD science fiction concept album - "EONS AGO" - with a storyline for the ages.
"I hope to take some time off in 2014," Xeno Giraffe laughed. "Or develop a bigger musical troupe to carry on, when I pass out in the wrong room of a motel from exhaustion, and they can't find me for a gig. Some changes are definitely coming, but currently -- I got stuff to do."
