Test shows ERGO Fitness Machines® treadmills at least 10 decibels quieter than leading treadmill brands; company credits quietness to club-level engineering; customer says, "It is virtually silent".
(1888PressRelease) April 12, 2014 - Elkhart, Indiana; - ERGO Fitness Machines® today reported test results showing the operating noise level of its treadmills to be at least 10 decibels quieter than the ten leading home use treadmill brands.
Paul Romanetz, CEO/President of ERGO Fitness Machines® explained, "We attribute the extreme quietness of the ERGO treadmill to the precision engineering of our product. Our machines are based on a very robust, European treadmill design built for the rigors of club-level use."
ERGO customers concur. Tim, a recent buyer from Catawissa, Pennsylvania said, "ERGO Fitness Machines exceeded my expectations. I was very surprised at how quiet it is. It is virtually silent; my footsteps are the only noise I hear."
Romanetz continued, "A quieter treadmill is an important customer benefit. It means you can exercise and have a normal conversation, or watch television without cranking up the volume to an uncomfortable level. We've done our homework on this and our customers are taking note."
The company's internal test showed an ERGO treadmill operated at 7.5 MPH showed an average sound level of just 60 decibels. Independent tests of the ten leading brands showed operating noise levels between 70 and 76 decibels.
According to Industrial Noise Control, Inc. 60 decibels are typical of the sound volume of conversation in an office, background music or an air conditioning unit at 100 feet, while 70 to 76 decibels could be compared to a passenger car at 65 mph at 50 feet from pavement edge (76 dB); living room music (76 dB); radio or TV-audio, vacuum cleaner (70 dB).
