EQUIP AUTO 2011 is 70% booked up already
EQUIP AUTO 2011, the biennial international exhibition for automotive parts, systems and equipment, will take place at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition centre (France) from 11 to 15 October 2011.
- (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2011 - For October 2011, EQUIP AUTO is expecting 96,000 visitors (including 35% coming from outside France) and 1,800 exhibitors across all sectors (75% from outside France and 25% from within the country). The 2011 trade show has got off to a promising and positive start: total exhibition space stands at 100,000 square metres, which amounts to an increase of 25% on the 2009 exhibition's available floor space, and 70% of that is booked already.
The fact that several sector-leading companies - including such as Continental Teves-VDO, ContiTech, Hella, Knorr Bremse, Mahle, Meritor, TI Automotive (vehicle equipment), Facom (tools), and Washtec (car-wash equipment) - have already signed up to the trade show is a clear indication that EQUIP AUTO is the key event for all industry players in Europe.
Other participants already confirmed include Europa and Omia (auto body painting), which will participate in the Bodywork Village organised by the Fédération Française de la Carrosserie, or FFC (French Bodywork Association). Exhibitors returning this year also include industry giants such as PSA Peugeot Citröen and Renault.
A number of equipment manufacturers, tooling suppliers and distribution groups that took part in EQUIP AUTO 2009 will also take part this year. These companies include Autodistribution, Beru-Borgwarner, Bosch, Corteco-Freudenberg, Delphi, Hutchinson, Mann+Hummel, NTN-SNR roulements, Schaeffler, Starexcel (Autolia Group), Valeo and ZF Trading.
In the diagnostics sector, Actia and Texa have confirmed their presence at EQUIP AUTO 2011. The garage-equipment sector will also be well represented at this year's trade show, with EGI Europe, Fog, Förch, KS Tool, Provac, Ravaglioli and SNA Europe, which have all confirmed their intention to attend.
EQUIP AUTO 2011 takes into account the new ideas and the trends that are shaping the ever-changing automotive world. The trade show aims to help the industry anticipate and structure the automotive aftersales market of tomorrow, by including the leading players of the next decade in manufacturing, equipment supplies, subcontracting and hi-tech clusters, among others.
With this in mind, EQUIP AUTO 2011 will host the second GreenTech Forum, which was introduced in 2009, on electromobility. This forum brings together key industry players; it allows them to discuss challenges and trends affecting the equipment market of the future, which will be built around mobility that operates without relying on oil, but on renewables (including electric vehicles).
