Eppendorf AG have acquired Calibration Technology Ltd. The company will continue to be managed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Eppendorf AG by its current Managing Director, Brian Kelly.
- (1888PressRelease) November 07, 2016 - Hamburg, Germany - Hamburg-based Eppendorf AG have acquired Calibration Technology Ltd, headquartered in the National Technology Park Limerick, Ireland, on November 1. The company will continue to be managed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Eppendorf AG by its current Managing Director, Brian Kelly.
The acquisition of Calibration Technology Ltd will enable Eppendorf to expand its service presence into Ireland. "We have had a very good partnership with Calibration Technology for many years now, and are pleased that this acquisition will allow us to extend our service offering, especially for customers in regulated areas," comments Thomas Bachmann, President & Chief Executive Officer of Eppendorf AG. Calibration Technology is accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) to ISO 17025 since 2007. The company has been an authorized Eppendorf Service Centre for the calibration and repair of pipettes and dispensers since 2008.
About Calibration Technology Ltd
Calibration Technology Ltd (CTL) was founded in 2005 by Brian and Lynn Kelly to provide an ac-credited pipette calibration service. Accreditation to the international calibration standard ISO 17025 was awarded by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) in 2007 (Reg No 186C). CTL has built up a substantial customer base in the pharmaceutical, clinical, biotechnology, re-search, contract testing laboratories and educational sectors. CTL currently employs 13 staff including 9 Calibration Engineers who primarily calibrate the pi-pettes on-site at the customer's premises. CTL uses state of the art calibration software linked to our LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to manage and process all aspects of the calibration up to issuing of Certificates of Calibration. CTL has a modern and fully equipped permanent laboratory at its premises in the National Technology Park in Castletroy, Limerick. CTL has a long and established relationship with Eppendorf and is an authorised Eppendorf Service Centre since 2008. Additionally CTL supplies Eppendorf liquid handling equipment and consumables to its customers.
