Entrepreneur Roundtable Presents in November: Erik Gholson Williams of Living Our Real Dreams
In his informative and inspiring presentation "By the Sight of Faith, One Builds Success" Erik will share his inspirational story of the personal journey of his success in business, family and art.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2011 - Critically injured in a car accident in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1997, Erik sees it now as a blessing. His injuries consisted of a severed spinal cord at the C6-7 cervical vertebrae; he is paralyzed from the chest down. The blessing is that he was called to rediscover himself, to overcome physical challenges and come to a new awareness of who he is in the world and what his work is.
In 2001 he founded a non-profit organization called Living Our Real Dreams that focuses on empowering young people. One of the many vehicles for sharing his message is a children's television show, The Beautiful World, which he wrote and developed through his company. Now the show has been produced both onstage and in-studio and he's preparing a pitch to television executives for the next level of production. When the show is broadcast, it will enable him to reach a much larger population of children and their parents with his message of self-actualization, appreciation of beauty, respect for self and others, knowledge, honesty and trust in relationships, self-confidence and the most important learning tool of all - fun!
Supported by the CLU School of Management as a networking, mentorship and educational organization, the Entrepreneur Roundtable was founded in 2006 by CLU graduate students, faculty and administrators. The mission of the group is to support the Ventura County business community. Entrepreneurs and businesspeople from all over southern California enjoy the diverse membership and dedication of the organization which creates a supportive network and venue for feedback and learning about issues of entrepreneurship and small business ownership.
