Eco-Era Invests in Thailand's Akha-Hani Tribe's First Alternative Medicine Hospital.
Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2010 - The Akha-Hani tribe sits among the remote forest of Northern Thailand's Golden Triangle. The area lacks any formal medical facilities, forcing long treks to obtain immediate and long-term care.
The new hospital will foster the development and knowledge of the tribe locally in a cutting-edge facility. Constructed using innovative green technology developed under the guidelines of Eco-Era™, the facility will use advanced, ecologically sound practices to best incorporate the area's resources.
"It is our hope that by learning from the tribe in a more formal setting that we can begin to explore methods used for centuries to combat modern illnesses," Omima M. Edilbi, founder of Eco-Era states.
The benefit, to be held at the FIX Gallery at 1728 W. Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, will exhibit Los Angeles' prominent multimedia artists. Sales of all artwork will directly fund the construction of the local hospital through work currently underway.
Eco-Era, ™ founded and sustained by Penmen Elite LLC in 2009 is the entertainment industry's largest, and only, ecological standard developed to assist film makers to create ecologically responsible productions.
