Endeavor Provides 5,900 Meals for Low-Income Families Through Atlanta Community Food Bank
Food Drive yields the equivalent of over 7,000 pounds of food, through canned goods and monetary donations.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) February 27, 2013 - Endeavor, the leading provider of outsourced professional services for carriers, service providers, systems integrators, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, is proud to announce that its employees have collected monetary contributions and canned goods equivalent to over 7,000 pounds of food that was donated to Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). Endeavor employees' efforts will supply 5,900 meals to low-income Georgians through ACFB's network of more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies throughout Atlanta and North Georgia.
"Each year around the holidays the Endeavor team votes on a philanthropic event through which we can give back to our community," said Jennifer Baron, Endeavor's Chief of Staff and food drive coordinator. "This year marks our fourth Food Drive for the ACFB and we are delighted to have collected this unprecedented amount of donations. The executive team is very proud of the efforts put forth by all teams and the resulting impact we are able to make on our neighbors who may need a helping hand this time of year."
As with previous charity drives, the Endeavor staff was split into teams, each sponsored by a member of the executive management team, which promoted a friendly, if not aggressive, competition aimed at maximizing the positive impact for the Atlanta community. The strategy once again proved to be successful, as the results yielded 5,900 meals for low-income families.
Endeavor has given back to the local, national, and international communities via several service projects and charity drives over the years. Previous efforts include assisting Habitat for Humanity in building homes in the Atlanta area, three previous Food Drives for the ACFB, a Toy Drive for MUST Ministries, Haiti Earthquake Relief, holiday letters and cards to U.S. military personnel serving overseas, and the Hunger Walk, which is also sponsored in part by the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
