  • (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2015 - Enagás and the Port Authority of Huelva have recently signed a collaboration agreement to promote new LNG logistics services, which will be supplied at the Huelva regasification plant located on the South Atlantic coast of the Iberian Peninsula. The two companies intend to ensure an effective supply of LNG to ships, machinery and commercial vehicles, Enagás said in a statement. Under the agreement, Enagás and Port Authority of Huelva intend to increase the competitiveness of LNG services and investigate the technical feasibility for such services within the regasification plant. Additionally, the parties will study issues related to the management and technical knowledge of handling and marketing of liquefied natural gas. The supply of LNG as a fuel will be a requirement within the European Union for ports that belong to the core network of the trans-European transport network. The new provisions seek to champion the use of cleaner energy while cutting gas emissions that contaminate the atmosphere.
