Empire Lawyers Service, LLC, Acquires Aetna Judicial Service
Empire Lawyers Service, LLC, a leading court clerical service, has acquired the assets of Aetna Judicial Service.
- (1888PressRelease) June 06, 2012 - New York, NY-Empire Lawyers Service, LLC, a leading court clerical service in Manhattan, has acquired the assets of Aetna Judicial Service. Aetna, founded in 1953, is one of the largest process serving agencies in New York City with expertise and concentration in high-volume plaintiff personal injury, insurance defense, consumer credit collection, and landlord tenant cases. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Aetna Judicial Service's operations will merge with Empire-owned and operated American Clerical Service in New York to form the largest court clerical and process serving attorney support firm in the City. The combined company adds value for customers of both organizations who now have direct access to a complete suite of services from a single organization. Clients of Aetna and American Clerical can secure court clerical and filing services to initiate an action and then secure the service of processing, without the papers going back and forth multiple times between law firms and service bureaus. This reduces the overall time to deadlines and the number of hands involved in each case, making the experience more efficient and lowering overall costs.
"The addition of Aetna, along with several technology advances recently developed and implemented by American Clerical Service, allows our customers to gain unparalleled access to their important docket data and total transparency to their process service information," said Jerry Krivitzky, President of Empire Lawyers Service, LLC. "Clients of both companies gain multiple competitive advantages by this combination of resources," he added.
With the acquisition of Aetna completed, Empire Lawyers Services has other plans: "Aetna is a platform acquisition for us, providing a strong foundation on which to build growth by acquiring other process service agencies," said Andrew Strauss, CEO of Skinder-Strauss Associates, holding company of Empire Lawyers Services. Strauss added, "Bigger isn't always better, but in firms where the development and deployment of technology are so critical to the enterprise and are out of reach for the typical small business owner, size allows us to deliver a value proposition to our customers that small owners cannot match."
