EMP West Applauds Annual Award Winner Monica Woo, PA
Monica Woo, Physician Assistant, receives 2010 Mid-Level Practitioner of the Year Award.
- Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2011 - Monica Woo, Physician Assistant, received from Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP) West the award for 2010 Mid-Level Practitioner of the Year. Monica has worked in the ED at Community Hospital of San Bernardino in California since 2002. Her relentless work ethic and upbeat personality have made her a favorite in the Emergency Department as well as among her colleagues at EMP.
EMP West presented its Annual Recognition Awards at the Emergency Medicine Physician Directors' Meeting in December 2010 in Las Vegas.
"Monica is one of the fastest and most efficient colleagues I've ever worked with," said Debbie Bervel, MD, past Medical Director at CHSB and current Quality Director. "In fact, if you give her a Starbucks she works literally at supersonic speed!" Dr. Bervel verbalized the deep appreciation of EMP and all of the ED staff at CHSB for Monica's commitment and dedication to their Emergency Department.
Monica Woo received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1997 from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She earned her Physician Assistant's Certificate in 2001 from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California.
