The Emergena Rock Festival is a competition set up for up and coming, unsigned bands. Emergenza is the world's largest festival for unsigned bands, with concerts in more than 150 cities around the world. It features up and coming bands from across the globe.
There are elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year, whereby the bands that advance are selected by the audiences that hear them. Professional judges choose the winners at regional and final concerts.
Three talented bands will hit the stage to compete in 30 minute sets of original music. Each band hopes to win their country's national tournament and move on to the international finals that will be held on August 11, 2013 at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. All bands talented enough to make the international finals have their expenses paid for by Emergenza. They will share the bill with some of the biggest names in rock. The international festival winner is crowned "The Best Band In The World."
During the three days of the Festival finalists groups have the opportunity to play for a large audience. The "best band in the world" selected by an international jury wins a professional studio production and a promotional tour. The best musicians win for their instruments and musical equipment.
Bands scheduled to take the stage at O Patros Vys are: pop band Yellow Jam, pop rock alternative band Current Sea and ska band Funkfouska.
