Emergenza Rock Festival to invade the Bataclan in Paris
The Emergenza Rock Festival will be bringing it's competition for unknown and unsigned rock bands to the Bataclan on June 16, 2013.
- (1888PressRelease) May 29, 2013 - The Bataclan is a "salle de spectacle" located at 50 boulevard Voltaire in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.The Bataclan is a cafe/theatre inspired by Chinese architecture. It consists of a cafe and theatre on the ground floor and a large dance hall at the first floor level. The building was completed on February 3, 1865. Initially the Bataclan was a "music hall" where ballet and acrobatics were showcased.The Bataclan is well known today for a very eclectic program of events, including rock and pop concerts.
The Emergenza competition includes the following thirteen bands; rock band Shades (ex about 6), rock band Hi Boris, rock alternative band 12, world music band BRAX & OKAPI, rock band Gorgone, rock band Turpitudes, soul band What Eve Wishes, alternative rock band Citizen, funk blues band Lift Up, hip hop rock band Elecrack, world music band Ocean Kompa, pop rock band Seven Ages and pop rock band Nemesis.
The bands will hit the stage for thirty minute sets playing original music in hopes of moving on to the finals to be held in Germany on August 11, 2013. All national winners play at the international final in Rothenburg, Germany at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. The trip, accommodation, and local transport is all completely paid by the Emergenza Rock Festival. During the 3 days of the Taubertal Open Air Festival, the finalist bands have the chance to share the bill and the stage with famous bands and play in front of 30,000 people. The final winner will be crowned "The Best Band in the World."
