Emedoutlet "Donate-a-Dollar" Charity Drive Gets Great Response
Emedoutlet recently started a charity drive to bring awareness about and support various charities.

Emedoutlet customers were explained about the exemplary work done by Afghan Artists, Haitian Health Foundation and A Child's Right and they were given an option of donation during the purchase process itself. Being the first month, the response was much better than anticipated. A total of $383 was donated, of which $120 was given to the "Afghan Artisans", $ 123 to the "Haitian Health Foundation" and $140 to "A Child's Right". Every customer could select their favorite charity and by the end of the month, the collected donation was sent to the respective charities.

Afghan Artisan: Helping some of the most destitute women in the world, this charity works for improving the condition of Afghan women. With almost no education, ignorance of basic, primary health practices and barely any means of livelihood, Afghan women are unable to fend for themselves. Afghan Artisans, provides these women with a chance to earn a subsistence and thus take care of themselves and their children.
Haitian Health Foundation: Haiti was until recently a country with minimal presence in world news. And when it actually came to limelight, it was unfortunately due to one of the worst natural disasters known to mankind. Haiti has been an impoverished nation and still continues to have the lowest per capita income in the world. The Haitian Health Foundation works with the locals to bring about some kind of order in the life of the population. Providing primary health initiative and a number of other programs, The Haitian Health Foundation has so far carried out a marvelous job in giving Haitians a chance at a better life.
A Child's Right: Potable drinking water should be the right of every child in this age. Yet, even today, many regions of the world are unable to ensure this right. Its appalling that this should happen in areas of proper water supply, where water is ensured to high-end food chains, but there is no promise of clean, safe drinking water to every child in the locality. "A Child's Right" has been working hard with the local institutions like schools to provide them with low cost purifying technology that helps children get clean water.
