  • Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) July 13, 2010 - From now until August 15, 2010, Ellen DeGeneres Fans have an opportunity to be part of history, as fans of the comedienne/talk show host are being asked to upload a photo of them, to be a part of The Worldwide Ellen DeGeneres Fan Photo Mosaic.

The giant photo mosaic portrait of Ellen will be made from thousands of photos of her fans from across the globe. Fans may submit more than one photo, and once an image has been submitted and is approved for content, it will be added to the photo mosaic. Every photo of every Ellen fan received between now and August 1, 2010, will be included in this amazing display, as it gives fans a chance to show their love and appreciation for one of the most beloved and inspiring entertainers of our time, Ellen DeGeneres.

The unveiling and presentation of this masterpiece to Ellen is scheduled for September, 2010.

Fan Mosaics, created by Cleveland, Ohio artist Rob Hixenbaugh, gives fans the opportunity to be featured in a special one of a kind design made up of hundreds, even thousands of fan submitted photos, all cleverly arranged to recreate a single, larger image of their favorite artist. The design is then personally presented to the artist themselves, and a very special commemorative version of the Fan Mosaic is made available to those fans that are included within the design.

Hixenbaugh is best known for his creation of the nationally recognized Memorial Flag Print which is an image of our great American flag made up of close to 1,000 smaller images of the events that occurred on September 11, 2001. That print made local and national headlines, was displayed in The White House, and even made a stop on The Today Show. The Memorial Flag can be seen by visiting http://www.HixenbaughCollection.com. He was hired shortly thereafter to design a limited edition print for American Idol, and has since done work for Donald Trump and The Apprentice among others.

When asked why he chose to create a design made up of fans of Ellen Degeneres, Hixenbaugh said he has been a fan of Ellen for so many years, and said she is an inspiration to so many. "We're All Ellen Fans," he said.
