Febbo is scheduled to greet a group of more than 300 foster youth on February 20, 2016, opening herself up to real conversation about sensitive topics for youth in foster placement and life beyond.
"Many of these teens have survived unthinkable abuse, pushed on through unimaginable pain, lived on the streets, and hiked the uphill climb of a cold system. These kids are unstoppable -- my only goal is to remind them in case they've forgotten," says Febbo, who today serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County.
Her best selling children's book, "What Love Is A-Z" has been used as a tool to raise funds and awareness for such organizations as the World Food Programme, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida, Orangewood Children's Foundation, Reading Is Fundamental of So. Ca., Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the list goes on.
