The SPADO task force and Elite Care encourage statewide community involvement by spreading the word on Alzheimer's education, treatment, protection and improvement. CEO Jason Hess is tapped to co-chair SPADO task force to champion state plan.
- Portland-Vancouver, OR-WA (1888PressRelease) August 04, 2012 - Elite Care, a Portland, Oregon-based elder care provider, and its CEO Jason Hess, was asked to co-chair the task force of the State Plan for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias in Oregon (SPADO). The SPADO task force is a broad coalition of partners formed to address the needs of Oregonians impacted by Alzheimer's disease. The plan is the first for Oregon and represents a progressive effort between private sector, nonprofits and government to help more than 165,000 Oregonians directly affected by related dementias.
"With Elite Care's intimate understanding of Alzheimer's and related dementia diseases, I was honored and felt it was imperative to get involved with the SPADO task force. In addition to developing this plan, our job as the task force is to leverage the influential government and healthcare communities in Oregon to raise awareness," says Hess.
Because the majority of its Residents have some form of Alzheimer's or related dementia, Elite Care offers SPADO a unique perspective on issues surrounding this disease. Hess became involved with SPADO to ensure those with Alzheimer's and related dementia and their caregivers have the information and support they need.
"Consistent with the goals outlined in SPADO, Elite Care is committed to pursuing measurable outcomes to protect people with Alzheimer's and drive quality of life regardless of age, diagnosis or ability," concluded Hess.
