- (1888PressRelease) September 07, 2012 - ElectraTherm, a leader in small-scale, distributed power generation from waste heat, will speak at five high-profile energy conferences in the second half of 2012. ElectraTherm leaders will present industry insight into the Waste Heat to Power (WHP) market as well as highlight case studies of ElectraTherm's Green Machines running in the field. The conferences, in order of date, are as follows:
Global Geothermal Energy Summit - Reykjavik, Iceland
Robert Emrich, ElectraTherm's Vice President of Sales, will present on September 19, 2012 at 3:35 p.m. The Global Geothermal Energy Summit brings the largest industry players together to discuss the global outlook on geothermal energy. Emrich will provide case studies of current sites utilizing ElectraTherm's ORC technology on geothermal applications, and the market potential for future growth internationally.
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) 2012 - Houston, Texas
ElectraTherm's Gulf Coast Distributor, Gulf Coast Green Energy (GCGE), will present on ElectraTherm's application capabilities at CHP sites on Oct. 16 at 11:10 a.m. Loy Sneary, GCGE's President, will describe a case study in Texas on a gas compression station. CHP 2012 centers on manufacturing, and will address advanced technologies and energy management best practices.
RETECH - Washington, D.C.
Emrich will present on October 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in a panel session on waste energy and renewable energy. In his session, Emrich will discuss today's small-scale WHP market and the applications that benefit from this technology. RETECH 2012 is one of the largest conferences focused on renewable energy technology.
National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Industry Growth Forum - Denver, Colorado
The Industry Growth Forum is the premier event for cleantech companies to present to venture capital, corporate investors and strategic partners, and ElectraTherm was one of 30 companies selected out of more than 150 applications. The event is October 23-24 and ElectraTherm's CEO, John Fox, will present on the company's current state and significant growth potential.
POWER-GEN International - Orlando, Florida
Fox will participate in the geothermal track of the conference, December 11, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. He will highlight ElectraTherm's small-scale geothermal/co-produced successes and the opportunity for WHP in the oil and gas industry. POWER-GEN International is one of the leading power conferences, with more than 20,000 attendees annually.
ElectraTherm's product, the Green Machine generates fuel-free, emission-free power from low temperature waste heat. Hot water enters the Green Machine at between 88-116°C (190-240°F), where it heats a working fluid into pressurized vapor, using Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and proprietary technologies. As the low pressure vapor expands, it drives ElectraTherm's patented twin screw power block, which spins an electric generator and produces up to 65kWe.
ElectraTherm's fleet consists of 18 operational machines and more than 37,000 hours of fleet run time. Applications vary from internal combustion engines to biomass boilers, geothermal/co-produced fluids and solar thermal.
