El Hassan Business Park honors Photo Contest 2011 winners
CEO of El Hassan Business Park Eng. Omar Hamarneh honored the winners of the Photo Contest 2011 at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).
- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2011 - Amman - The competition, "Reach for Your Stars", organized by Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) in cooperation with Al Asala Photography Organization (Rubina Studio) and Jordan Photographic Society, aims at helping the youth unveil their talents and individual creativity, by allowing them the chance to express their feelings via their cameras' lenses.
"The competition succeeded in achieving its objectives and in assisting the youth to discover their photography talents, wielding their artistic capabilities to record the times and locations in an innovative manner that reflects their vision on various issues," Omar Hamarneh said.
"We value the support and effort of all the organizing parties, and all those involved in the success of this international competition. We also wish the winners, and those were not lucky enough, to persevere to develop their potentials and deliver the national message to their counterparts in the rest of the world, either via the internet or international exhibitions," he added.
Esam Nufal came in first, whereas Ahood Sami and Fayaz Nazzal earned the second and third place respectively.
Noting that the Jordanian winners will be granted a chance to present the Kingdom in the international competition hosted in Berlin, Germany coming November, during the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
As per their part, Rubina Studio awarded the first three winners three digital cameras, and the Jordan Photographic Society announced free training workshops for all the participants in the competition.
It is worth mentioning that more than 60 Jordanians participated in the competition, launched mid-September, 20 of which qualified for the final stage.
The jury, headed by Eng. Hamarneh, included the respected photographer Zohrab Markarian, Jordan Photographic Society President Mr. Suqrat Kahoush, and established photographer Ahmad Al Safarini. They were responsible for reviewing and evaluating the photos to choose the ones qualified to win.
This competition falls within the Kingdom's preparations for the GEW, with participations from governmental organizations, academic establishments, and non-profit organizations to engage students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and others to assist them in adopting a culture of entrepreneurship and employ it to serve society.
GEW is a global event organized in more than 100 countries around the world in the same week in November.
