Egypt Regains the German Tourism after the Political Conditions Getting Stable in the Country
After the situation became more stable in Egypt during the previous period, the number of German tourists has started increasing rapidly.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) August 23, 2012 - The number of tourists that came from Germany to visit Egypt during the period from January to May 2012 is 458741, with an increase of 39% in comparison to the number of German tourists in Egypt in 2011.
The number of nights that the German tourists have spent in Egypt in the same period is 5744917 nights with an increase of 42% in comparison to the number of nights that the German tourists have spent in Egypt during the same period last year.
This is the first time in many years that Germany comes in the second place concerning the number of tourists who visit Egypt after Russia which comes in the first place.
It would be also worth mentioning that the number of German tourists who visited Egypt in the period from June 2011 till the end of May 2012 has reached 1,093863 and the number of nights that the German tourists have spent in Egypt in the same period is 13,737993.
Officials from the Egyptian Tourism Minster and the Egyptian Travel Agencies Association have visited the major travel agencies in the German market to promote for tours to Egypt in the coming period.
