Efficiency Metrics added to Xangati's Service Assurance Analytics Platform
Xangati released a new version of service assurance analytics platform, version XSR12U2. The new platform will allow virtualization system administrators to track and correlate efficiency metrics against performance, availability and relative capacity indices.
- San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) June 27, 2015 - Virtualization system administrators will now be able to track and correlate efficiency metrics against performance, availability and relative capacity indices through Xangati's service assurance analytics platform in a new release, version XSR12U2.
Xangati automatically cross-references in real time key performance data calculating capacity planning (right-size investments) and efficiency optimization (cost reduction opportunities) so that both indices can be used to avoid and remediate virtualization performance degradation. The Efficiency Index, now a standard attribute in the overall Xangati main scorecard, measures the extent to which available capacity (CPU, Memory, Storage, Network Interface) is fully utilized.
Richard Kreuzburg, Director of IT for the Coastal Companies, a leading food service distributor of produce and dairy in the Mid-Atlantic, has seen first-hand the ability to optimize efficiency capacity with Xangati. "There's a tipping point and if it's right at the cusp, you don't know that. Without something like Xangati that's grading your performance, you won't know how close you are to that edge until you're falling off the cliff."
In addition to the Efficiency Index, the Xangati XSR12U2 platform update also includes:
Verified Citrix Ready to extend Xangati's deep root cause insights and performance metrics visibility to Citrix cloud analytics by adding XenServer hypervisor compatibility (including support for clusters or pools, and OVS format open vSwitches, as well as data integration with Xangati StormTracker performance storm resolution technology); adding XenServer support extends Xangati's multi-hypervisor strategy in addition to existing support for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
-Updated business-level dashboards that include user experience and analysis of anomalous patterns and behavior
-RESTful API that exposes Xangati's metrics collected on endpoints, applications, locations, interfaces, ports, IP addresses, ESX groups, users and networks, as well as data that are collated and correlated by Xangati's analytics engine
-Visibility to the Linux-based endpoints and servers, widely embraced by software developers and system administrators focusing on cloud, virtualization, and Software-Defined Networking infrastructures
-A Services view type now available in every Xangati dashboard, representing network-based apps that are being transmitted and received by various objects, usually IP endpoints or aggregates
-VDI end-user duration data measuring how long it takes an individual to initially logon and reconnect after a successful logon and subsequent interruptions
"The objective of a software-defined datacenter is to deliver on service-level targets for virtualized applications by minimizing capacity saturation while maximizing resource utilization," said Atchison Frazer, VP-Marketing, Xangati. "Xangati's new platform release enhances the ability for the SDDC to deliver service assurance of virtual apps while maximizing ROI through integrated and intelligent capacity planning, efficiency optimization and autonomic performance healing."
For existing Xangati customers with an active support contract, XSR12U2 is available for download now by logging into the Xangati Customer Support portal.
