Educomp Foundation in association with JRE Group of Institutions launches "Girl Child Education Adoption Program"
Initiative launched on occasion of 65th Republic day at Jaitpur Village, Greater Noida.
- (1888PressRelease) January 27, 2014 - New Delhi - Educomp Foundation, an initiative of Educomp Solutions to provide quality education to the people in rural and semi-urban areas, in partnership with JRE Group of Institutions today launched a special initiative "Girl Child Education Adoption Program" at Jaitpur village, Gautam Budha Nagar, Greater Noida to mark India's 65th Republic Day.
The program aims to engage with residents of Jaitpur village and explain the importance of education in the life of a girl child. Those present on the occasion included the Gram Pradhan of Jaitpur Village, Mr. Pramod Singh and officials from Educomp Foundation as well as student volunteers of JRE School of Management and Engineering.
This initiative is an extension of the on-going village development plan, which focuses on supporting primary education and computer literacy drive at Prathmik Vidyalaya, Jaitpur by Educomp Foundation. This program would provide affordable and quality education to girl children by raising funds from individual donors and active support from student volunteers from JRE. Over 240 school going girls are expected to be benefited from this program.
Educomp foundation along with Students of JRE presented a Nukkad Natak on the occasion that emphasized the importance of education for the girl child.
Talking about the program, Dr. Sushi Singh, Head, Educomp Foundation, said, "Educomp Foundation is committed to bring a positive change in the community with transformation of Jaitpur into a model village as its first step, where education is a priority for everyone, and both the youth and older generation are computer literate. Our special emphasis is on women empowerment and our girl child education adoption program is an important step in that direction."
In the past, Educomp Foundation has partnered with students of JRE School of Management in running computer literacy programs for the youth in the village. This program focuses on the need for technology in education and how technology can help them advance through cognitive learning. Moreover, computer literacy is helping the students raise their level of competence.
