Editors' Lounge Pre-NAB Panel To Expand Upon Topics From Hollywood Professional Alliance Tech Retreat
In 2004 the Editors' Lounge began hosting their panel discussion installments that examine relevant trends within the film and television industry.
- (1888PressRelease) March 09, 2016 - It's that time of the year again! NAB 2016 is just around the corner and that means it's time for the Editors' Lounge Pre-NAB Discussion Panel. Now in its 13th year of humorous anecdotes and off-topic-discussion, the event will be held Friday, March 25 at Key Code Media, 270 S. Flower St. Burbank, CA beginning at 6:15 pm. RSVP is required. http://www.editorslounge.com
This year's topic will center around subjects presented at the recent HPA Tech Retreat®. Technology journalist Debra Kaufman will once again guide the discussion as moderator. The well-rounded panel represents post-production veterans and rising stars of varied backgrounds, including: Terence Curren (colorist and CEO of AlphaDogs, Inc.), Mark Raudonis (SVP of Post-Production, Bunim-Murray Productions), Michael Kammes (Director of Technology, Key Code Media) and Monica Daniel (television editor, Minority Report, Supergirl).
Curren explains, "It's easy to get buried in the technical aspects of post-production. Keeping up with all of this can become very overwhelming and a full-time job in itself. Our Pre-NAB panels specifically take a closer look at trends and tools in post-production, aiding in keeping film and television editors knowledge of the business current.' Curren continues, "One year's memorable discussion turned viral online by being the first public discussion of the then shortly-to-be-released Final Cut Pro X. I look forward to seeing what this year's panel brings."
The Lounge opens at 6:15 PM, with the panel discussion beginning at 7 pm. RSVP is required to attend. http://editorslounge.com/register.html. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite beverage with a reminder to drink responsibly. Food will be provided courtesy of AlphaDogs, Inc.
