West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) May 05, 2011 - Ed Kearney, a longtime commercial broker in South Florida, has been named managing director of Kearney Commercial Realty. Kearney is also founder of the firm in West Palm Beach.

Kearney holds the distinguished CCIM designation and previously was affiliated with a national commercial brokerage.

"The market for office, retail and industrial properties has changed dramatically over the past several years," Kearney said. "By being locally focused and independent, I can better serve my clients."

Kearney was honored in February 2011 as the 2010 Realtor of the Year by the Palm Beach chapter of the Realtors Commercial Alliance. Kearney is also past president of the organization.

Kearney has also been appointed twice by a state court as receiver for commercial properties. Working on behalf of the court, he was given authority to take possession of properties in Broward County and collect rents, operate the premises, and pay property-related bills.
