Ecova Names Jana Schmidt President And Ceo

- (1888PressRelease) January 09, 2015 - Spokane, WA - Ecova, the total energy and sustainability management company, today announced that Jana Schmidt has been named the company's new president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Jeff Heggedahl, Ecova's president and CEO for the past five years, recently announced his resignation from the company. Twenty-year sales and marketing leader to guide Ecova through international expansion and continued growth.
Schmidt has been with Ecova for three years, responsible for driving revenue growth as head of the sales and client management teams. She also led operations for Ecova's foundational expense and data management service. As president and CEO, Schmidt's main priorities will be to further adoption of Ecova's solutions in existing markets and to increase penetration into new markets. Ecova's high performing energy and sustainability services identified over $800M in savings for clients in 2013. She will also focus on investing in new solutions that leverage the company's unique data asset and analytics in support of clients' goals.

Schmidt joined Ecova three years ago from Harland Clarke Corp., where she served as the executive vice president of sales and marketing. In that role, she led a national sales, client management and marketing organization that provided innovative, market-driven solutions to nearly 11,000 clients in the financial services industry.
