EcoScraps Manufacturing Plant is Open for Tours in Salt Lake City
Community members are invited to tour EcoScraps new plant in Utah to see the process EcoScraps uses to create organic soil from produce scraps.
- (1888PressRelease) March 10, 2011 - PROVO, UT - EcoScraps manufacturing plant is now open to the public for tours at their Salt Lake City location beginning March 9.
"We want the community to be involved in EcoScraps," said Daniel Blake, founder and CEO. "We'd like them to see how our organic soil is created and how it can make a difference in their community."
Tours can be scheduled for groups by calling Brandon Sargent, EcoScraps Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales, at (801) 513-3330. The plant is open to the public throughout the week.
"During the tours, community members will be able to see the process from start to finish of how Harvest Plenty is created," said Sargent. "I think they'll be surprised at what we use to create the soil and how organic it is. It's so organic, they can even taste it during their tour!"
The plant opened on September 1, 2010. Today the plant produces 35 cubic yards of Harvest Plenty organic soil per day, six days a week. It is shipped to stores in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Oregon. Visit http://ecoscraps.net/our-products/where-to-buy/ to see which stores Harvest Plenty is sold.
EcoScraps has grown from its humble beginnings in 2010. It began in Blake's parking lot, was moved to an abandoned shed, and then to the current manufacturing plants EcoScraps runs in Salt Lake City, UT and Tempe, AZ. They have plans to expand across the nation.
