Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa Organizes Seminar On 'Nanotechnology - Applications In Hospitality Industry'
Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa, a leading hospitality management college of excellence with the academic certification from the finest & oldest hospitality school - École hôtelière de Lausanne of Switzerland earlier this week organized a seminar on the application of Nano Technology in the hospitality industry.

From a brown bread that can stay fresh for six months! An electronic tongue which tests food for perfect taste!! The speakers educated the students on the concept of nanotechnology and its likely impact on the global hospitality industry.
IT wizard, Mr Achyut Godbole spoke about the evolution of Information Technology (IT) and pure sciences, which has led to the birth and growth of Nano Technology. While explaining the development of human beings from the ice age to the modern era, he said "In the changing times, it is crucial to inculcate techniques such as "Learn and Unlearn". This technique is essential in modern times and each one of us has to keep updated about all the latest technologies which affect our lives. He also emphasized on the need to respect all the languages.
During the seminar, Dr Madhavi Thakurdesai, Associate Professor, Birla College, an expert in the field of Nano Technology shared the history of the Nano technology, how it has been rapidly evolving and its significance in the hospitality sector
According to Dr. Thakurdesai, 'The global hospitality business will be impacted to the tune of US$ 92 billion in the near future. Using water as a cleaning agent will no longer be necessary because the walls and the fabric will be made of Nano material and will clean it by itself. Such measures will save a huge amount of cost to the industry."
