- Charleston-North Charleston, SC (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2010 - Carol Williams, Founder of East Cooper Entrepreneurial Women (ECEW) and Real Estate Professional for Keller Williams Realty, announced today that ECEW's October Lunch, Learn & Earn was a huge success. Helms' presentation was entitled 'Prospecting for Gals with Lockjaw' in which she shared her step by step process for prospecting at networking events.
"Helms' presentation was entertaining and fun and she gave everyone at the luncheon a simple approach to create engaging conversation at networking events that ultimately leads to an appointment," Pam Hartley, Founder of Momentum Marketing and ECEW Professional Development Chair, said.
A graduate of the College of Charleston, Helms started her career traveling the world as a comedienne and entertainer for Carnival Cruise Lines. She also lived in Los Angeles where she acted in many TV shows and two films. In 2006, she relocated to Charleston and became a Financial Planner with Financial Management Group. Danna's transition into financial services was inspired by her father, Dan Childress. In 2008, she was named CDP Advisor of the Year. She began speaking to local organizations and non-profits as a means to meet potential customers. Her blend of humor and candor has resulted in Helms becoming a much sought after speaker. She currently shares her unique prospecting process with corporations across the country.
Helms said, "The first step in prospecting is to create a memorable introduction. From there, asking questions about your prospect's business is essential to understanding if you can solve any 'pain' they experience. In the end, it's imperative that before your interaction is finished, a next meeting is set."
