East Coast Paddle Partners with Jimmy Lane Surf Academy to Offer Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons, Rentals and Kid's SUP Backwater Experience

(1888PressRelease) June 07, 2012 - New Smyrna Beach, Fla. - East Coast Paddle (ECP) is partnering with Jimmy Lane Surf Academy to offer the Kid's SUP Backwater Experience. Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) lessons and rentals will also be offered by ECP on the beach for adults and children at Jimmy Lane Surf Academy.

From now until August 24th, Surf Academy students will have the opportunity to sign up for ECP's Kid's SUP Backwater Experience. The students will learn about the ecosystem of Mosquito Lagoon, as well as the basics of paddleboarding, including the equipment, techniques and safety.

"The popularity of this sport has completely taken off both locally and nationally," said Tim Baker, Owner of ECP. "It's only natural for East Coast Paddle to join with Jimmy Lane to provide an exciting new component to the Surf Academy."

Enrollment is now open for Jimmy Lane's Surf Academy and the Backwater Experience. It is an additional $65 for the Backwater Experience, on top of the cost for the Surf Academy. Students will be assigned a specific day for paddleboarding.

The Backwater Experience starts at 8:00 a.m. from JB's Fish Camp docks and lasts until 11:00 a.m. East Coast Paddle will provide their custom-made paddleboards, paddles and life jackets.

Paddleboard lessons and rentals are also open to the public. ECP provides boat assisted SUP Eco-Tours through Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River for $55 a person (group discounts for three or more). To make an appointment, call 386-402-8585.
