e-con Systems Launches e-WiB - New Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Add-on Module
e-WiB add-on module for a is a new offering from e-con Systems for Wi-Fi Bluetooth applications with standard driver support for customers who want on-board solution with a provision for external antenna connection.
- (1888PressRelease) August 31, 2010 - St. Louis, USA/Chennai, India - e-con Systems Inc., an embedded Product Development partner, based in St. Louis, MO and Chennai, India has launched its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module named as e-WiB.
This Wi-Fi is normal 802.11b/g SDIO module and it has also got Bluetooth on it. This Wi-Fi module along with Bluetooth work through SDIO interface and is bundled with Alioth Development platform which is unique in terms of application-specific carrier board, specifically designed for Industrial applications like Industrial Controllers, In-Vehicle Telematics, Vehicle Mount Systems, Test & Measurement Equipment, Mobile devices and MIDs WebPads.

This add-on module is a 2 board solution for customers who can just add the schematics of this daughter board to their carrier board, making the design look like a single board. Customers can just use this Wi-Fi - Bluetooth Module by simply soldering it if they want it to look more modular as per their requirements.
This module currently supports Windows CE 6.0 R3 BSP and currently on Alioth rapid development kit.

Availability
The e-WiB module is available with Windows CE 6.0 R3 support starting from 1st of September 2010.
