DynCorp International Sets Hiring Record in 2011

  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2012 - DynCorp International announced that it hired more than 12,300 personnel in 2011. The record-setting hiring surge comes on the heels of reporting 11 percent growth during the third quarter of 2011. With global operations in more than 35 countries, DI created positions for more than 7,000 Americans in 2011. It also hired locally overseas.

    Last year, DI brought on more than 1,000 Afghan citizens and hundreds of Iraqi civilians to bolster programs operating in each country.

    "These have been challenging times in the U.S. and in economies around the world," said Bob Lehman, senior vice president of Human Resources at DynCorp International. "DI was very fortunate in 2011 to be able to offer positions to a record number of personnel last year."

    DI works in support of U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives, delivering support solutions for defense, diplomacy and international development.
    Personnel are supporting a wide range of programs in the areas of Aviation, Air Operations, Contingency Operations, International Development, Intelligence Training and Solutions, Operations and Maintenance, Security Services, and Training and Mentoring.
