DynCorp International was recently awarded three Air Force AFACP task orders to aid the Air Force at the U.S. Air Force Academy, United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan.
As part of the Marine's Toys for Tots annual charity drive, DynCorp International team members from Ft. Worth, Texas, partnered with Toys for Tots to donate toys to children in need.
The good work of the DynCorp International volunteers helped make it a record-setting year for Wreaths Across America. Thousands of well-wishers throughout the nation laid more than 100,000 wreaths this year, more than three times the usual number.
For Thanksgiving, DynCorp International employees located at the Falls Church, Va., headquarters and Alexandria, Va., offices participated in a food drive for Food for Others.
In October 2011, several DynCorp International employees working in the Patrick Support Division (PSD) at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., joined an estimated 8,000 supporters in the American Cancer Society's (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
For Thanksgiving, DynCorp International employees located at the Falls Church, Va., headquarters and Alexandria, Va., offices participated in a food drive for Food for Others, by donating canned potatoes, canned fruit, gravy, stuffing mix and other non-perishable items to complete Thanksgiving meal holiday baskets. DynCorp International donated nearly 400 lbs. of food.
DynCorp International was pleased both to sponsor and to participate in the 19th Annual USO-Metro/AFCEA-DC Golf Classic at the Lansdowne Golf Resort in Virginia. This year's tournament raised more than $170,000 to benefit both the USO of Metropolitan Washington and the AFCEA-DC scholarship fund.
During the week of October 17-21, DynCorp International employees recognized Breast Cancer Awareness month with "Blue Jeans for Breast Cancer," donating $5 to wear jeans for a day or $20 for the week.
