Duke Tip Qualifiers Announced
The Duke Talent Identification Program Has Selected Over 50% of Sweetwater Episcopal Academy's Fourth and Fifth Graders.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) October 16, 2013 - Sweetwater Episcopal Academy announced this morning that over 50% of its fourth and fifth grade students have been selected to participate in the prestigious Duke University 4th - 6th Grade Talent Identification Program (TIP). Students qualified as participants by scoring at the 95th percentile or above on the national norms of a standardized achievement, aptitude or mental ability test battery.
As a world leader in gifted and talented education, Duke TIP works with students, their parents, and educators to identify, recognize, challenge, engage, and help students reach their highest potential. The 4th-6th Grade Talent Search provides parents with information to help their children develop their talents during a pivotal growth stage. Through the 4th-6th Grade Talent Search, high-potential youth are encouraged to challenge themselves and begin focusing on their future while learning that developing their intelligence can be fun and fulfilling.
Many resources and opportunities are available to qualifying 4th-6th Grade Talent Search participants. Once an application is processed at Duke TIP, participants receive confirmation of enrollment by email (if enrolling online) or by mail (if enrolling by mail), and gain immediate access to the following benefits:
